China has successfully installed its self-developed 26-megawatt offshore wind turbine generator set in Shandong. Comprising over 30,000 components, this turbine boasts a hub height equivalent to more than 50 stories and a wind-catching area spanning 77,000 square meters, securing its position as the largest offshore wind turbine globally. Fully localized, it is anticipated to produce up to 100 million kWh of electricity per year, sufficient to fulfill the annual energy needs of 55,000 households.
