On August 28, Lai Ke, the head of Xiaohongshu's trading market, disclosed that the number of shopping users on Xiaohongshu is surging, particularly among younger demographics. In response, Xiaohongshu has introduced a "Marketplace" as a primary access point, aimed at boosting users' purchasing intentions. According to data, individuals born after 1995 make up as much as 70% of the monthly active buyers on Xiaohongshu's e-commerce platform. In the latest version currently under testing, a "Marketplace" tab has been incorporated into the App's bottom navigation bar, next to the "Home" entry, offering a more reliable trading platform for both users and merchants.
