A CICC research report highlights that the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) has unveiled a document aimed at vigorously fostering the growth of the satellite communications industry. The objective is to achieve widespread adoption of innovative business models, such as direct smartphone-to-satellite connectivity, by 2030. Projections indicate that the user base for satellite communications will surpass 10 million, significantly enlarging the satellite application market. On the satellite front, China's GW networking speed has markedly quickened since late July, with the MIIT's guiding opinions emphasizing the acceleration of satellite internet system development. Concurrently, in the realm of rockets, several large liquid rockets—including the Li Jian-2, Zhuque-3, Tianlong-3, and the modified Long March-12—are anticipated to make their maiden voyages within the year. This is expected to bolster launch capabilities and reduce costs. The harmonious progression of satellites, rockets, and applications presents lucrative investment prospects across the satellite internet industry chain.
