Apple has prohibited the distribution of the BitTorrent downloader app, iTorrent, via AltStore Pal, a third-party app market in the European Union. Prior to this decision, iTorrent and other similar BT-type apps had been available for download on this platform since July of last year. Despite Apple's relatively permissive stance towards third-party app markets in the EU, it maintains a certain level of control through the "notarization process." However, Apple has failed to provide a specific reason for revoking iTorrent's distribution rights, leaving the developer in a state of confusion. It remains unclear whether the incident is related to security threats or fraudulent activities, as both Apple and AltStore Pal have indicated that they are currently investigating the matter.
