In an analysis of the Google Play services Beta APK file, tech media outlet Android Authority discovered code pertaining to file sharing with iPhones and successfully triggered the relevant pop-up window. This pop-up informs users that, to share files with Apple devices, they must first log in to their Google account – a requirement not imposed on Android users. While the exact usage details remain unclear, these indicators suggest that Google aims to create a cross-platform file-sharing feature between Android and iPhone/iPad, streamlining the transfer process and offering an experience akin to Apple's "AirDrop". Currently, domestic manufacturers such as OPPO, vivo, and Xiaomi have already introduced similar cross-platform transfer functionalities.
