On August 26, the State Council Information Office convened a press conference emphasizing the high-quality execution of the 14th Five-Year Plan. The Director of the National Energy Administration highlighted that during this period, China's energy supply has been bolstered and its resilience enhanced. Notably, energy consumption over the first four years has surpassed 1.5 times the total consumption of the 13th Five-Year Plan, with projections indicating that new electricity consumption will eclipse the annual consumption of the European Union. Furthermore, the distribution of energy resources and infrastructure networks has been optimized, with 40% of the eastern region's energy sourced from initiatives like the "West-to-East Electricity Transmission." Additionally, China has established the world's largest electric vehicle charging network, boasting two charging stations for every five electric vehicles.
