Effective August 26, 2025, Swiss Post will cease the shipment of parcels to the United States, with the exception of express letters and expedited deliveries. This decision stems from the US repeal of the duty-free allowance for imported goods valued up to $800, now mandating that all incoming shipments must have tariffs prepaid in advance. This policy shift conflicts with the regulations set forth by the Universal Postal Union. Swiss Post has consulted with national authorities and, as a result, made this decision to align with the new tariff requirements.
