On August 23, the National Development and Reform Commission, the State Administration for Market Regulation, and the State Internet Information Office collectively unveiled the "Draft Rules on Price Behavior of Internet Platforms," opening a one-month window for public feedback. The "Draft Rules" underscore that platform operators must refrain from violating the E-commerce Law by imposing unreasonable restrictions or conditions on pricing within their platforms, such as restricting traffic, blocking stores, or delisting products and services. This initiative aims to regulate pricing practices on internet platforms, safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of both consumers and merchants, and foster the healthy growth of the platform economy.
