The latest Firefox 142 version now experimentally supports Progressive Web Apps (PWA) for Windows 10 and Windows 11 users, empowering them to pin frequently visited websites to their taskbar and run them in a sleek, dedicated window. This functionality, initially attempted in Firefox 73 beta as a "Site-Specific Browser," faced technical hurdles and was subsequently shelved. However, in March of this year, Firefox Nightly 141 reintroduced this feature, now dubbed "Taskbar Tabs," while maintaining the full browser interface to guarantee a seamless user experience. To utilize this feature, users must install the native version of Firefox and enable the "Add website to taskbar" option within experimental settings or manually activate it via the about:config page. It's worth noting that this feature is currently inaccessible in private browsing mode.
