U.S. President Trump indicated on Friday that the deadline for ByteDance to divest TikTok's U.S. operations could be extended once more, if deemed necessary. Notably, the White House has recently launched an official TikTok account. Since assuming office, Trump has granted TikTok a reprieve on multiple occasions, showing reluctance to enforce the 2024 legislation that mandates a ban if the app is not sold. Most recently, the deadline was extended to September 17th.
