From the commencement of the summer transportation season on July 1st to August 17th, the national railways successfully transported a cumulative total of 712 million passengers, marking a 4.1% year-on-year increase. This equates to an average of 14.84 million passengers per day. Throughout this period, the national railways maintained an average daily operation of 11,298 passenger trains and added an average of 573 additional trains to accommodate the heightened demand.
