Due to the impact of Typhoon "Podul," southern China and the southern Yangtze River region are anticipated to endure heavy rainfall from August 13th to 15th. Consequently, water levels in certain rivers in Fujian, Guangdong, Guangxi, and Hunan provinces are expected to rise, with some smaller and medium-sized rivers potentially experiencing floods that surpass warning levels. In response to this potential flooding scenario, the relevant departments initiated a Level-IV Emergency Response for Flood Control at 11 am on August 13th.
