According to China Securities, artificial intelligence (AI) is poised to significantly accelerate the growth of global electricity demand, with projections indicating that global data center power consumption could double by 2030. Recently, major overseas corporations have raised their capital expenditure forecasts and intensified their investments in the AI sector. Amidst this rapid surge in demand, the overall supply of transmission and distribution equipment remains tight, thereby presenting lucrative development opportunities for Chinese electrical equipment manufacturers. Since 2022, China's exports of primary equipment have maintained robust momentum, with power transformer exports soaring at a year-on-year rate exceeding 40% in the first half of 2025, sustaining a trend of robust growth. It is anticipated that overseas giants will continue to allocate substantial investments in AI, data, and cloud (AIDC)-related capital expenditures, and domestic leading electrical equipment manufacturers are expected to secure relevant orders, with their subsequent incremental potential set to be continuously unleashed.
