MIIT: China's IC Design Revenue Soared to RMB 202.2 Billion in H1, Marking an 18.8% Year-on-Year Growth

During the first six months of 2025, China's software industry generated a revenue of RMB 7,058.5 billion, signifying an 11.9% year-on-year increase. Total profits amounted to RMB 858.1 billion, also up 12% compared to the same period last year. Notably, IT services revenue led the way, accounting for 68.5% of the total with RMB 4,836.2 billion, reflecting a 12.9% year-on-year growth. Furthermore, cloud computing and big data services revenue totaled RMB 743.4 billion, marking a 12.1% increase. The IC design sector witnessed a remarkable 18.8% year-on-year surge, with revenues reaching RMB 202.2 billion. Meanwhile, e-commerce platform technology services revenue grew 10.2% to RMB 588.2 billion.
