OpenAI has unveiled a strategic alliance with Nscale Global Holdings and the investment conglomerate Aker ASA, committing $1 billion to the construction of a data center in Norway by 2026. This initiative marks the inception of Europe's first "Stargate" project. Initially, the facility will house 100,000 NVIDIA GB300 chips to cater to the burgeoning demands of AI collaboration. The two companies anticipate that the data center's capacity may scale up tenfold in response to the escalating requirements of future AI applications.
