The Shanghai Municipal Communications Administration has announced a plan to expedite the interconnection of computing power. This initiative, dubbed the "Shanghai Computing Power Interconnection" action plan, outlines the establishment of a unified computing power identification system to standardize the allocation and utilization of computing resources. The primary objective of this plan is to foster interconnectivity among key computing power scheduling platforms. By 2025, the Optical Transport Network (OTN) coverage in vital application venues is projected to reach 80%, enabling support for cutting-edge technologies like SRv6.
Furthermore, Shanghai is championing dedicated network scheduling services for computing power and exploring specialized network services tailored for overseas deployment. These efforts are aimed at significantly enhancing the efficiency and service quality of computing power resources, positioning Shanghai as a global hub for computing power interconnection and deployment.
