The Cloud Infrastructure Services Providers in Europe (CISPE) has lodged a complaint with the General Court of the European Union, accusing the European Commission of sanctioning Broadcom's acquisition of VMware without imposing safeguards to preclude Broadcom from leveraging its market dominance, thereby fostering unfair competition. CISPE contends that subsequent to the acquisition, Broadcom has terminated existing contracts and imposed costly new licensing terms, adversely impacting the interests of European cloud computing consumers.
