The United States Department of Energy has revealed the first wave of sites for its Federal Land AI Data Center project, encompassing the Idaho National Laboratory, Oak Ridge Reservation, Paducah Gaseous Diffusion Plant, and Savannah River Site. The department anticipates issuing tender documents in the forthcoming months, with the objective of identifying partners by the conclusion of this year. Additionally, it is in the process of evaluating other prospective locations.
