On July 7, Alibaba Cloud announced the open sourcing of WebSailor, an advanced internet agent. The project's construction plan and associated datasets have been made freely available on Github. According to Alibaba Cloud, the BrowseComp evaluation set highlights WebSailor's outstanding performance. Specifically, WebSailor-32B and WebSailor-72B variants excel among open-source models and agents, surpassing closed-source counterparts like DeepSeek R1 and Grok-3. They rank second only to the closed-source OpenAI DeepResearch, demonstrating a substantial lead in the field.
