South Korea's leading telecommunications provider, SK Telecom, and Amazon Web Services (AWS) have announced a joint investment of KRW 7 trillion to build a state-of-the-art AI data center in Ulsan. This facility, which will initially have a capacity of 100 megawatts (MW), with an ultimate capacity of 103 MW, will deploy 60,000 GPUs. The construction will proceed in phases, with full operational capacity anticipated by February 2029.
