80 Plus has introduced a new certification tier named 'Ruby', tailored for data centers and servers, that mandates power supplies achieve a peak efficiency of at least 96.5%. This standard surpasses the previous Titanium tier and, for the first time, includes requirements for power conversion efficiency under low-load conditions. The introduction of the Ruby certification aims to foster the development of highly energy-efficient power supply products, contributing to the reduction of energy consumption and carbon emissions, and expediting the creation of a greener digital landscape.
