Microsoft has put its 1.5GW self-build datacenter project on hold and terminated over 2GW worth of non-binding lease contracts, while maintaining binding lease agreements exceeding 5GW through 2028. Despite the termination of these non-binding letters of intent totaling 2GW, Microsoft has secured approximately 5GW of pre-leased capacity. Additionally, the company is expediting its self-build datacenter expansion by acquiring substantial land and securing power resources, although some project orders have faced delays or cancellations.
