China Mobile Hong Kong Limited has inked an agreement with TPG Wireman, L.P. to acquire 145 million existing shares of HKBN for HK$758 million and subscribe to an additional 83.66 million new shares for HK$438 million, amounting to a total investment of approximately HK$1.196 billion (roughly RMB 1.13 billion). Upon the successful completion of this transaction, China Mobile Hong Kong Limited will hold approximately 15.46% of HKBN, marking its position as a key shareholder. As Hong Kong's second-largest Internet service provider, HKBN primarily focuses on communications, streaming media, and e-commerce services. This strategic investment is poised to solidify China Mobile's presence in the Hong Kong ICT market.
