On March 15th, CCTV's 3·15 Evening Gala shed light on five significant irregularities plaguing the online industry: mobile phone lottery scams, privacy breaches, nuisance calls, fraudulent home appliance repairs, and predatory electronic signature loans with exorbitant interest rates. Among the entities named and shamed were Woodpecker, JieDaibao, Nuonuo.com, ZhiYouQing Network, Cloud Enterprise Intelligence, RenRenXin, LvXin Technology, QiTeng Network, and QiKe Technology. Notably, several of these companies employ big data acquisition software to unlawfully obtain user privacy, leveraging crawler technology to mine personal information and exploiting big data from major telecommunications networks for targeted marketing, thereby gravely violating consumers' rights and interests.
