The General Office of the Shanghai Municipal Government has unveiled the "Implementation Plan for Boosting the High-Quality Development of Digital and Service Trade." This plan aims to foster comprehensive reforms, openness, and innovation in both digital and service trade sectors, thereby positioning Shanghai as a pivotal hub for global digital and service trade. By the year 2029, Shanghai aspires to achieve a total import and export volume of USD 260 billion in services, with the digital delivery service trade segment alone anticipated to reach USD 130 billion, comprising approximately 50% of the total.
