Solidigm Confirms End of New Client SSDs, Shifting Focus to Data Center Storage

Last year, Solidigm informed its consumer-grade SSD customers that the P41 Plus and P44 Pro would mark the conclusion of its client-oriented offerings. The company emphasized that its strategic direction has now shifted towards data center SSDs, positioning itself as a frontrunner in high-capacity enterprise SSDs tailored for AI deployments. With a comprehensive product portfolio, Solidigm now supports various stages of the AI data pipeline and general-purpose computing tasks. Notably, Solidigm had initially contemplated introducing a new client SSD prior to making this strategic pivot.
