On November 5, Alibaba released the "2026 AI for Good Action Report," outlining its latest efforts in developing responsible AI and leveraging AI to create social value. Wang Chaoyang, Global General Manager of Data Centers at Alibaba Cloud Intelligence Group, stated that Alibaba Cloud is sparing no effort to improve the resource and energy efficiency of its data centers. In terms of land use, Alibaba Cloud is pursuing greater "land power density" to boost IT capacity per unit area. Over the past two years, by leveraging the advantages of high-rise, intensive construction, Alibaba Cloud has raised its resource density from 0.8 kW/m² to 4.5 kW/m², and this figure is expected to double to 9 kW/m² by March next year.
