QuestMobile's September 2026 ranking of mobile internet companies by deduplicated total users—covering both app and mini-program users—shows Tencent Holdings, Douyin Group, and Alibaba in the top three, each surpassing 1.2 billion users with only narrow margins between them. Tencent has 556 related applications, while Douyin and Alibaba have 172 and 207, respectively. Baidu, JD.com, and other companies form a second tier with over 900 million users each, followed closely by Meituan and Kuaishou. In terms of growth, Douyin Group posted a 5.2% year-on-year increase, putting it near the front among the leading players, whereas Tencent and Alibaba grew just 0.9% and 0.4%, respectively—essentially flat—and at this pace Douyin is expected to overtake Tencent down the road. JD.com and Ant Group saw impressive growth, while several other companies experienced declines in user scale.
