On November 2, in the presence of the heads of state of China and Oman, Zheng Shanjie, Chairman of the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC), and the head of Oman's Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology signed a Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation in the Application of the Beidou Satellite Navigation System. The memorandum defines the direction of Beidou application cooperation and establishes a regular cooperation mechanism. In addition, Liu Liehong, Director of the National Data Administration, and the head of Oman's Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology signed a Memorandum of Understanding on Strengthening Cooperation in the Field of Data and the Digital Economy. Under the memorandum, the two sides will exchange experience and cooperate in such areas as the digital economy, digital transformation, the development of the information technology industry, talent training and capacity building, and the cultivation of technology startups and small and medium-sized enterprises, as well as in legislation, strategies and policies concerning data and the digital economy.
