Nvidia is in talks to provide billions of dollars in debt guarantees for AI cloud startup Nscale to help build a 460-megawatt data center for Anthropic, according to people familiar with the matter. The deal has not been signed and terms may still change. The move underscores Nvidia's continued financial support for so-called neoclouds such as Nscale, CoreWeave and Firmus—companies that have taken on massive debt to build AI-specific data centers and are under intense pressure from investors.
