On October 26, the China Computer Federation (CCF) unveiled the winners of its 2026 Annual Science and Technology Achievement Awards. The collaborative project, "Key Technologies and Applications of High-Performance Networks for Large-Scale Intelligent Computing Centers," undertaken by Alibaba Cloud and Tsinghua University, clinched the First Prize for Scientific and Technological Progress. This project tackles the pressing challenges in bandwidth allocation, traffic scheduling, and anomaly detection within intelligent computing data centers, thereby laying the foundation for a high-performance network architecture. Its groundbreaking innovations encompass a "dual-layer flat, high-density multi-track" network framework, end-to-network collaborative active-sensing path selection, and multi-dimensional trace correlation analysis for pinpointing root causes, all of which have reached internationally leading standards. Presently, HPN is instrumental in supporting numerous 10,000-card intelligent computing clusters, catering to enterprises such as the Qwen large model, Xiaohongshu, and XPENG Motors. Additionally, it has facilitated AI-enhanced live broadcasting for major sporting events like the Paris Olympics and Hangzhou Asian Games.
