On October 19, the China Communications Industry Association announced that it is seeking public comments on two newly drafted group standards, one of which is the 'Technical Specifications for AI-eSIM in the Internet of Things'. The 'Technical Specifications for AI-eSIM in IoT' (Project Number: CAICI2026-15) was collaboratively developed by a consortium of leading entities, including Xinsheng Technology, Unicom Huasheng Communications, Tianyi IoT Technology, China Telecom Omni-channel Operation Center, China Mobile Research Institute, China Mobile IoT, Huawei Technologies, and Unisoc Tongxin Microelectronics.
