The Judicial Court of Paris in France recently rejected a fine request from pay-TV operator Canal+ against U.S. internet infrastructure company Cloudflare. Canal+ had previously demanded that Cloudflare be fined €50,000 per website per day for failing to block websites suspected of illegally broadcasting sports events through its public DNS resolution service 1.1.1.1. However, the court ruled that Cloudflare had already taken reasonable technical measures and no additional fines were necessary.
