China’s Software Business Revenue Surpasses 10 Trillion Yuan in First Eight Months

On October 8, data released by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology revealed that in the initial eight months of 2026, China’s software business revenue soared to 10.282 trillion yuan, marking an 8.8% year-on-year increase. The total profit reached 1.1837 trillion yuan, up by 1.3% from the previous year. Additionally, software business exports amounted to $45.99 billion, reflecting a 12.5% year-on-year growth.
In terms of specific fields, revenue from software products saw a 6% year-on-year rise, revenue from information technology services increased by 9.6% year-on-year, and revenue from information security products and services grew by 5.7% year-on-year.
