In October 2026, Kioxia released the LD4 series, its first E1.L form-factor solid-state drive featuring eighth-generation BiCS FLASH™ QLC flash memory. Designed specifically for high-density 1U servers and read-intensive storage applications, this product is suitable for hyperscale data center-level workloads and scale-out environments. The LD4 series utilizes a PCIe Gen5 x4 interface, complies with NVMe 2.0e and OCP Data Center NVMe SSD 2.6 specifications, and is currently available in capacities of 15.36TB and 30.72TB, with future scalability up to 122.88TB. The product is now undergoing sample testing.
