Microsoft has made a significant stride by promoting WSL (Windows Subsystem for Linux) Containers from the public preview stage to general availability. Users can now effortlessly access the relevant features by executing the straightforward 'wsl --update' command. These features encompass the command-line tool wslc.exe and the WSL Containers API. Despite the version number WSL 3.0.1 being displayed on GitHub, Microsoft has unequivocally clarified that there is no new iteration dubbed WSL 3.
