According to reports, Bian Zhixiang, the General Manager of Microsoft Taiwan, has stated that the demand for AI computing power is expected to far exceed supply over the next two to three years. In response to this looming challenge, Microsoft is proactively expanding its data centers in Taiwan, with plans to increase the total number of infrastructure facilities from two to four. Bian Zhixiang highlighted that the shortage of computing power is not merely a result of insufficient GPUs or CPUs, but also encompasses issues related to power supply and the allocation of rack space. Consequently, Microsoft recognizes the necessity of constructing new data centers and optimizing the configuration of its existing facilities to meet the growing demand.
