During the trading session, Lenovo Group (00992) defied market trends, experiencing a remarkable surge of over 5%. As of the latest press time, it had registered a gain of 2.75%, with its shares trading at HK$32.16 and a substantial turnover of HK$866 million. Data released by IDC regarding the global server market for the second quarter of 2026 reveals that Lenovo's revenue in the global x86 server sector soared by 96.0% year-on-year and 46.9% quarter-on-quarter, firmly establishing it as the second-largest player on the global stage. Its shipment volume also witnessed a significant increase of 45.6% year-on-year, ranking it first in terms of growth rate among major vendors and, for the first time, crowning it as the global leader in shipments.
Moreover, Dell's stock price hit an all-time high last Friday, buoyed by better-than-expected financial results and an upward revision of its full-year guidance. Oracle, on the other hand, reaffirmed its capital expenditure plan of $90 billion to $95 billion for fiscal year 2027, with a focus on expanding AI data centers and related infrastructure. Dell and HPE are set to be the primary contractors for this ambitious project.
