On September 13, SK Group Chairman Chey Tae-won revealed that the capacity of the AI data center under construction in Ulsan by the group has been increased to nearly 900 megawatts. As the project progresses, SK Group plans to establish cooperative relationships with more global tech companies. The data center, developed in collaboration between SK Group and Amazon AWS, is expected to involve an investment of 7 trillion Korean won (approximately US$5.2 billion) and will commence operations in the second half of 2027.
