The Cyberspace Administration of China, in collaboration with six other departments, has jointly unveiled the Implementation Plan for Fostering Coordinated Transformation and Development of Digitalization and Greening (2026-2030). This plan outlines a series of actions aimed at revitalizing traditional industries, with a particular focus on sectors such as metallurgy, chemicals, light industry, textiles, machinery, and shipbuilding. It actively promotes the integration of digital and intelligent technologies, alongside green technologies, within enterprises to spur equipment upgrades, streamline processes, and foster management innovation.
The plan also underscores the importance of nurturing and bolstering industrial internet platforms. It advocates for the development of intelligent software and hardware products and solutions that are customized for key industries and critical scenarios, thereby accelerating the evolution towards next-generation intelligent and green manufacturing.
Furthermore, the plan encourages industrial enterprises and parks to set up digital energy and carbon management centers. These centers will integrate multiple functions to enable precise measurement, refined control, intelligent decision-making, and visual display of energy consumption and carbon emissions.
Additionally, the plan champions the ongoing creation of smart and green factories, steering enterprises towards undertaking 'intelligent transformation, digital transformation, and networking,' as well as green and low-carbon technological transformations in areas such as low-carbon energy, efficient resource utilization, clean production, and green products.
