Seven key departments have jointly unveiled the Implementation Plan for Advancing the Synergistic Transformation and Development of Digitalization and Green Initiatives (2026-2030). This comprehensive plan delineates the objectives, tasks, and policies aimed at fostering the coordinated growth of digitalization and environmental sustainability throughout the 15th Five-Year Plan era. Guided by Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era and with a firm focus on attaining carbon peak by 2030, the plan articulates precise development milestones for the year 2030. It outlines 14 pivotal tasks spanning four primary domains: fostering the convergence of digital intelligence and green technologies, boosting energy efficiency in burgeoning sectors, deepening the collaborative implementation of digitalization and greening in critical industries, and fortifying the foundational framework for such collaboration. Additionally, the plan emphasizes strengthening foundational support by refining the developmental landscape, enhancing digital carbon management proficiencies, and fostering deeper international cooperation, all while clarifying the requisites for effective implementation.
