Recently, Guo Fengqian, a specially appointed associate researcher within Professor Lu Hancheng's research group at the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC), has made remarkable strides in the realm of low-latency and resource scheduling for Wireless Local Area Networks (WLANs). Notably, he has accomplished two significant feats. Firstly, as the lead author, Guo Fengqian's paper, "Concord: Airtime-Aware Contention Control for Taming Tail Latency from Wi-Fi Frame Bursting," has been accepted for presentation at ACM SIGCOMM 2026, a highly esteemed academic conference in the field of computer networking. Secondly, his innovative solution, termed "Adaptive Scheduling Technology for Multi-Terminal Traffic in Wireless Local Area Networks," has garnered recognition by winning Huawei's prestigious "Spark Award." Collectively, these two achievements signify profound research endeavors, addressing the challenges of low-latency transmission in WLANs from both downlink and uplink perspectives.
