On August 30, during the 2026 China International Big Data Industry Expo, Isabel Ge Mahe, Apple’s Vice President and Managing Director for Greater China, addressed the audience. She emphasized that Apple has maintained a presence in China for more than three decades. Over the past six years, the App Store ecosystem in China has significantly boosted developer revenue and sales, with both metrics more than doubling. Mahe highlighted Apple’s ongoing commitment to Guizhou, noting that since 2018, the company has initially invested $1 billion in the iCloud Guian data center and has since poured billions of additional dollars into the project. She also pointed out that since the Guian data center became operational in 2021, it has relied entirely on renewable energy, setting a benchmark for sustainable development in the industry.
