On August 29th, reports emerged that the 2026 China International Big Data Industry Expo took place in Guiyang, Guizhou Province. During an exchange session themed 'Integrating Data and Computing to Propel the Future,' officials from the National Data Bureau highlighted that the computing power network is intricately linked with and mutually reinforces the water network, new-type power grid, next-generation communication network, urban underground pipeline network, and logistics network, creating a synergistic and interdependent ecosystem. In this setup, the computing power network functions as the 'brain,' facilitating intelligent dispatch and promoting new energy consumption within the new-type power grid. It collaborates with the next-generation communication network to enable seamless data flow, model training, and application innovation. Additionally, it empowers the water network to achieve precise forecasting and dynamic resource allocation, supports real-time monitoring, risk early warning, and emergency response coordination for the urban underground pipeline network, and integrates with the logistics network to drive cost savings and efficiency improvements across the supply chain.
Recent data indicates that as of the end of July, the total national intelligent computing capacity had reached 2.45 million PFLOPS (FP16), with over 85% of this capacity concentrated in the eight national computing hubs and three coordinated development zones for computing and electricity.
