According to a research report released by CICC, supercapacitors are uniquely positioned to address the demand for millisecond-to-second-level high-power pulses in AIDC (Artificial Intelligence Data Center) power systems. In addition to this, they also offer reliable backup power solutions. With the growing popularity of 800VDC architectures, the quantity of supercapacitors required per watt in cabinets has surged, propelling their penetration rates to climb swiftly. However, due to the significant technical and certification hurdles, despite the nominal production capacity being adequate, there exists a scarcity of effective capacity specifically for large-capacity supercapacitors. Consequently, the industry is poised to face a supply shortage between 2027 and 2028.
