This standard is the result of collaborative efforts by experts from China, the United States, Germany, France, Japan, Italy, and other nations, with Chinese experts taking the helm.

Jointly introduced by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) and the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), this standard now serves as a unified technical specification across the global landscape for testing electronic communication magnetic components.

The issuance of this standard marks China's ascent to a leading position in global standard-setting within this domain. It provides robust foundational standard support for the high-quality advancement of next-generation information technology and new energy sectors, including 5G communication, computing infrastructure, and new energy vehicles.
