According to sources familiar with the matter, Lambda, an AI cloud computing service provider backed by NVIDIA, is in talks to raise as much as US$3 billion in a funding round that could lay the groundwork for its listing next year. As a 'new cloud provider,' Lambda's main business is leasing chips and other AI infrastructure. Currently, the company is discussing completing the financing at a valuation of up to US$12 billion or more. As the negotiations are not public, the sources requested anonymity and stated that the terms of the deal have not yet been finalized. Lambda, headquartered in California, has received multiple term sheets, and some people close to the company said that after successful financing, Lambda may launch its IPO as early as next year. Other sources revealed that Lambda's revenue is expected to exceed US$1.5 billion this year.
