On August 24, Beijing hosted the fifth China-ROK Ministerial Strategic Dialogue on Information and Communications Technology (ICT) Cooperation. The meeting was attended by Li Yuecheng, China's Minister of Industry and Information Technology, and Bae Kyung-hoon, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Science, Technology, Information and Communications of the Republic of Korea. The two sides engaged in thorough discussions on a range of topics, including next-generation ICT, digital inclusion, and radio spectrum policies.

Li Yuecheng put forward three proposals for collaboration:
1. Enhance long-term communication mechanisms to bolster strategic mutual trust. This includes exploring the establishment of communication channels for cutting-edge technologies such as artificial intelligence.
2. Champion international standards and digital norms to spearhead technological advancements. Promote an open, inclusive, equitable, and balanced development landscape in the ICT sector.
3. Deepen industrial cooperation to jointly tackle technological challenges and fuel development momentum. Focus on applications that benefit people's livelihoods and ensure the equitable sharing of digital development outcomes.
