Alibaba has unveiled its financial results for the first quarter of fiscal year 2027, showcasing a revenue of 269 billion yuan, which represents a 9% year-on-year surge. The adjusted net profit stood at 20.72 billion yuan. Notably, within these figures, Alibaba Cloud's external commercial revenue experienced a 45% growth, achieving a remarkable 22-quarter high in terms of growth rate. Moreover, its adjusted EBITA witnessed a 133% year-on-year spike, with the profit margin climbing to 12%. Revenue from AI-related products has sustained triple-digit growth for twelve consecutive quarters, undeniably acting as the driving force behind the cloud business's expansion. In the consumer segment, instant retail revenue saw a 45% year-on-year increase, while Customer Management Revenue (CMR) registered a 1% year-on-year rise.
