The General Office of the Shanghai Municipal Government has unveiled the '15th Five-Year Plan for the Digital Development of Shanghai.' This plan envisions the creation of a three-pronged computing power service system that harmoniously blends 'general, intelligent, and supercomputing' capabilities. Its primary goal is to foster seamless coordination among cloud, network, edge, and end computing resources. Concurrently, the plan sets its sights on establishing a centralized computing power service hub platform, which will integrate essential functions such as public services, resource scheduling, and energy consumption monitoring.
Furthermore, the plan underscores the importance of accelerating the development of intelligent computing centers across various regions, including Pudong, Jinshan, Songjiang, Qingpu, and Lingang. To promote environmentally friendly computing power, the plan advocates for the adoption of cutting-edge liquid cooling technology and the 'source-grid-load-storage' energy management model. These measures aim to ensure that green electricity accounts for over 80% of the energy consumption in newly constructed intelligent computing centers.
In addition to these initiatives, the plan also highlights the necessity of deepening computing power collaboration within the Yangtze River Delta region. This collaboration is expected to drive the growth of a national hub node for the national integrated computing power network, specifically focusing on the computing power public service platform in the Yangtze River Delta and the computing power interconnection and intercommunication platform in the Yangtze River Delta (Shanghai).
